Japanese Oriented Essentials

Flavour Factory has been introducing ethnic foods to Southeast Europe for over 25 years. They launched their Oriental Express brand in 2011, and building on its success, later introduced a Japanese product line featuring sushi ingredients like ginger, rice, nori, wasabi, panko, and tempura, offering everything needed for authentic Japanese cooking.

Inspiration

For the packaging, I was inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, incorporating subtle shapes and patterns along with the word "east" in its native script as a background. The font, though in English, mimics the style of Japanese characters, blending cultural authenticity with a modern, approachable design. This approach creates a strong connection to the product's origins while maintaining a clean, contemporary look.
